What assigned resources actually means

The difference between a guaranteed share and a share that is only available when nobody else is using it.

Fixed allocation at hypervisor level

The CPU, memory and disk of your plan are bound to the instance by the KVM hypervisor. They are not redistributed when other machines on the same node increase their load.

Isolation between instances

Every vServer runs its own kernel, with separate memory space and volumes. Other instances have neither visibility of nor influence on your environment.

Predictable behaviour over time

The sizing holds during peak hours too: performance depends on your own workload, not on other customers' traffic.

Yes. CPU, memory and disk are assigned exclusively through the KVM hypervisor and are not redistributed between instances under load.
When the workload becomes sensitive to storage latency or available bandwidth. Power uses local NVMe and a 1 Gbit/s uplink (in some cases up to 10 Gbit/s), parameters not provided on the Cloud range.
Administration of the operating system and applications remains your responsibility. Our oversight covers hosts, network and the virtualization platform.
