How the cluster reacts to the loss of a node

Redundancy is not a contractual option: it is how the platform is built.

Automatic fault detection

Cluster nodes monitor each other. When a host stops responding, the quorum declares it unavailable without waiting for human intervention.

Restart on a healthy node

Because volumes reside on distributed storage rather than on the disks of a single host, the instance restarts on another node in the same availability zone with data state intact.

No reinstallation on your side

Recovery happens at infrastructure level: configuration, addressing and content remain unchanged, with an interruption in the order of seconds.
